EXHIBITION CALL OUT
THROUGH THE EYES OF WOMEN BRIEF 2025
Through art we seek to amplify and celebrate the voices of women: female, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, friend, disciple, follower, leader. As women, we hold a variety of titles, forms, status, situation, roles and perspectives.

We ask, what does faith mean to you as a woman in a modern world?
We asked artists to consider these questions.
What is faith?
What questions do you have about faith?
Does faith mean anything to you? Or nothing?
Do you have a faith or belief system?
Does it inspire you, move you, anger you, threaten you, give you hope, give you none, give you everything?
Are there Biblical characters that help hinder faith from your perspective?
Do you feel you are discriminated against because of your faith or lack of it?
How could your answers to these prompts translate creatively? What is your vision for expressing your responses?
By holding this event we intend to honour the creativity, ingenuity, tenacity and strength of women in the Arts and give them a stage in which to showcase their experiences, viewpoints and abilities.

To facilitate a dialogue between Christians and people of no faith or other faiths, Monmouth Baptist Church is hosting an outreach exhibition with a week of female led events. See our IWD Events page for further details of up coming quiz and talks.
International Women's Day 2025 offers a challenging focus to #AccelerateAction. We have responded with hosting a week long exhibition with events spearheaded by the women of our fellowship and church community.

'Focusing on the need to Accelerate Action emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres'. IWD 2025
